Our October Production
Welcome
Centre Stage is an award-winning youth theatre group, for members aged 11-20, based in Exmouth, Devon. Originally formed in 1970 as the 14-20 Music and Drama Society, the aims remain the same – to advance the education of children and young people in music and the performing arts and to provide an interest in social welfare for recreation.
Members have the opportunity to perform in a wide variety of shows and festivals. Working with experienced professionals and teachers, they can develop their singing, dancing and acting skills. Being part of Centre Stage also builds confidence, develops an individual’s character, respect for others and team building skills. Many past members have moved onto drama school, achieving success in the West End and international touring productions.
Each year will usually see members of the Company performing in two major productions at the Exmouth Pavilion, taking part in music, dance and One Act play festivals, providing Christmas entertainment and excelling in singing and dance competitions. Members will also have trips to both London and local theatres to enjoy the best of musical theatre and take part in team building and social events.
